Before and after

The layout you love can be the reason nobody calls.

An applicant tracking system breaks your CV into contact details, roles, dates and skills. Two columns, graphics and skills tucked into a sidebar are where that reading goes wrong. ATS.rip rebuilds the document so the information is easy to extract, without changing what is true about you.

Why it exists

Built by someone who sent 2,200 applications.

“I spent months sending out more than 2,200 job applications and was invited to just two interviews. I had no idea that the CV I was so proud of could actually be working against me.”

The name is a farewell: ATS.rip means Applicant Tracking System, rest in peace. Once your CV is rebuilt so the software can read it, the software stops being the obstacle. There is no subscription, because reading your CV once is not a monthly service.

What changed
The CV looked polished. It was full of graphics and columns that recruitment software could not read properly. The fix was structure, not decoration.

Any language

A Spanish CV stays Spanish. A Punjabi CV stays Punjabi.

The optimisation is always written in the language of your original CV, whatever the language of the job advert or of this site.

FAQ

Questions people ask before uploading.

Still unsure? Contact support (opens in a new tab). We reply within 24 hours on weekdays.

How is this different from Jobscan or Teal?

Jobscan, Teal, Enhancv, Resume Worded and Kickresume are subscriptions behind an account, and none of them shows you a finished document before you pay. ATS.rip is one payment with no account, and you see your whole CV, before and after, first. They are the better choice if you want a job tracker, templates, a cover letter or unlimited scans for many applications.

Is my CV/resume stored?

Your CV is processed temporarily and not kept by ATS.rip after optimisation. Our Privacy Policy explains how the AI provider processes it.

Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab)
Which file formats can I upload?

ATS.rip accepts PDF, DOCX and TXT files. Your optimised CV comes back as a Word file (.docx), the safest format to send to an employer unless the job advert specifically asks for a PDF. You can read why in our article “Should I send my CV as a PDF file or a Word file?” (opens in a new tab)

When do I pay?

You only pay when you choose Save CV and go on to Stripe Checkout. By then you have seen your whole optimised CV, so purchases are final. If the file is not delivered, you get a full refund.

Can I make my CV ATS-friendly for free?

Yes. You can follow the advice on our ATS Explained page (opens in a new tab) and do it yourself. With ATS.rip you can also see your whole CV rebuilt for free, every page, and you only pay if you want to keep the Word file.

How do I check if my CV is ATS-friendly?

Upload it in the box above as a PDF, DOCX or TXT file. ATS.rip shows you the changes on screen, and the results window lists exactly what changed: action verbs, keywords, formatting fixes and the links that were kept. You can switch between your original and the new version to compare them.

Which should I choose, Standard or Targeted?

Standard makes your CV/resume readable for any ATS, without a job description. Targeted does the same and uses the job description you paste to bring forward the words and experience from your CV that matter for that job.

Will ATS.rip change or invent facts in my CV?

ATS.rip may change the wording, structure, formatting and order where that makes your CV easier for the software to read. It is built to keep your facts and not to add experience, skills, education, achievements or responsibilities that your CV does not support.

ATS Explained (opens in a new tab)
Does ATS.rip work with CVs in other languages?

Yes. ATS.rip works with CVs in any language and always keeps the optimisation in the language of your original CV. A Spanish CV stays Spanish, a Punjabi CV stays Punjabi and a Chinese CV stays Chinese, whatever the language of the job description or of this site.

Can I see the optimised CV before I pay?

Yes. After the optimisation you see the whole CV on screen, every page, and you can switch between your original and the optimised version. Nothing is paid until you choose Save CV.
